Mental Wellness: Relationships

Good afternoon Dolls!

In my wellness series of posts I want to focus on resources and tips that you can read and incorporate into your daily life to help enhance the Power of your Femininity. Being feminine is more then just how you dress or act in public. Its also about empowering your mind and utilizing strategic intelligence so that you dont make critical mistakes in your relationships that undoes the hard work you've cultivated to create a feminine and soft image. I want to make sure your mind is empowered along with your femininity to help you achieve the relationship, goals and dreams that you've always wanted.

So lets get started with 3 of my favorite resources that I feel are good starters for the woman whose beginning her journey to empowerment.

I'd like to share with you some resources that I have come across that adds value to your mental wellness when it comes to relationships. Whether you are in a relationship, recently single, or you've been single for a while these books will add tips, "tricks" and valuable information to help you navigate the sometimes mirky waters of dating.

Resource #1: Why Men Marry Bitches" and "Why Men Love Bitches" by Sherry Argov

I read this book 3 years ago and it changed my perspective on dating and answered my fundamental question of why I was the girl who seemed like a great catch but had the catch bolt after a while. I discovered that I was making critical mistakes because I approached dating from the "good girl mentality". Men dont think like that and this book gives you a sneak peak into their minds, how they think what the really mean when they say they want a nice girl and why thats the last thing they want or desire.

Resource # 2: All teh Good Ones Arent Taken: Change the Way you Date and FInd Lasting Love by Debbie Magids Ph.D., and Nancy Peske

This book helps you to identify which "single" you are and give you tips on how to move past these dating holding patterns and open your mind romance and dating. I recommend reading this book first before reading the books in Resource #1

Resource # 3: How to Be a Lady by Simpson-Gilles

Thsi book is a listing of do's and don's when it comes to being a lady. Many of the tips are common sayings your mother or grandmother would have told you at some point in your life but other things are a bit of a "oooh I didnt know that" moment. Bear in mind this book was written a whole generation back and as such should be read with this thought in mind however there are a lot of GREAT tips in here that are useful in every day life.

The great thing about these books is it gives you perspective on how the male mind works. Once you gain a certain understanding of the male mind you can translate some of it into the working world. Now I am not advocating using these books to start an office affair. Not at all!! BUT, being self aware in terms of projecting lady like qualities in the office, decoding the things men say will certainly help you in your interactions in the office and the outside world.

Free tip of the day:

Your best accessory in the morning is not a brand named article of clothing or jewlery, its your smile. Dont underestimate the power of a smile. Think positive thoughts and watch that positivity transmitt through your facial expression and your smile. People will gravitate to you.
